Through the implementation of Title I Pre-Kindergarten Programs, Fayette County offers a developmentally appropriate program of education for students who are in need of early intervention. Goals
Eligible Schools The Fayette County Pre-K programs are provided through the use of Federal Title I Grant Funds. The following elementary schools qualify for these funds: Robert J. Burch, East Fayette, Hood Avenue, North Fayette, Oak Grove, and Peachtree City. Educational Program The educational program focuses on developmentally appropriate hands-on activities. A heavy emphasis is placed on emerging literacy in math and reading. Entrance Requirements
* Must be completed prior to the first day of school. Eligibility Children who are 4 years old on or before September 1 of the current school year are eligible for the Pre-K Program. All children will be given an age appropriate readiness test. This is not an intelligence test. Fifteen students will be chosen according to their readiness level.
